The next meeting of the Task Force will take place in Geneva at the International Telecommunication Union, 30–31 October 2024.
Central to discussions will be:
- Preparations for next year’s High-level Meeting on NCDs;
- Plans for the 20-year anniversary of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, which entered into force on 27 February 2005;
- The findings and recommendation of the recent joint independent evaluation of the Task Force;
- How to improve the inclusion of NCDs and mental health into United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Frameworks.
Progress on the Health4Life Fund as well as the full range of UN joint programmes and thematic groups will all be reviewed.
While the meeting is only open to all members of the Task Force, a summary of the meeting will be available on the Task Force meetings webpage in keeping with previous meetings.
