Infectious conditions cause substantial NCD and mental health burden. Inversely, those with NCDs and mental health conditions can be at higher risk of acquiring infection. It is important that public health responses to NCDs, mental health conditions and infectious conditions are integrated to facilitate access to care, provide effective and quality care, and maximise resource efficiency.

The Task Force fosters collaboration and coordination between different UN entities and international partners to promote this agenda. It does this through:

• The Thematic Working Group on NCDs and Communicable Diseases Comorbidities.
• Participation in the Interagency Working Group on Mental Health, which is led by United for Global Mental Health.
