2018-awards-200The United Nations Interagency Task Force on the prevention and control of Non-communicable Diseases (UNIATF) at its 11th meeting (Geneva, 8-9 November 2018) agreed further to the success of the UNIATF Awards in 2018, to run the award scheme annually to recognize those making an outstanding contribution to NCD prevention and control.

In February 2019, nominations were invited for organizations in the following four categories:

  • Ministries of Health (or government agencies under a ministry of health)
  • Ministries (or government agencies) beyond health
  • Non-state actors (non-governmental organizations, academia or philanthropy)
  • United Nations Country Teams

The awards will be announced during the 23 September 2019 UNIATF “Friends of the Task Force” side event on the margins of the UNGA High-level meeting on Universal Health Coverage in New York.
